Here's a couple of looks at the "McBarge" where it was moored for the better part of 30 years, until recently.
It was described as "the world's first floating McDonalds," and built on False Creek for Expo 86.
It was towed to Maple Ridge in late December and will appear in 2016 as a new and improved, so far secret project. Perhaps the McCasino or McSports Bar?
The top photo is Lomochrome Purple film in a Horizon Perfekt, the bottom is B+W film in my Noblex.
Happy new years y'all.

Red Bull Rampage 2015
Here's a few pics from Red Bull Rampage, near Virgin Utah from mid-october 2015. The B+W are my Noblex, and the colour is a Horizon.
Several of these are examples of what happens when you tilt up with a swing lens: your horizon gets all bent outta shape. Whatever though, I still dig it.
pic 1: The view from near the top, rider's left ridge.
pic 2: Sender off of the end of the ridge on qualifying day. Pretty sure it's Graham Aggasiz.
pic 3: Axl Fostvedt shooting Phantom Flex of Cam Zink for Freeride Entertainment. Finals run.
pic 4: Graham Aggasiz again, but his first drop of his finals run.
pic 5: Sam Reynolds superman over the canyon gap. Didn't really nail the photo timing but it's still alright.

Zion National Park 2015
These are a few Noblex panoramics, from a cloudy afternoon walk in Zion National Park.
I wanted to get to Angel's Landing, but had to settle for the lower trails due to threat of rain and flash flooding. I did get up the Emerald Pools trail and the Canyon Overlook trail, just in time for rain and lightning. Not so good for pictures. Still fun.
I guess there's always next year... Horizon panoramics and maybe some B+W to follow...

Church of the Holy Cross
National Historic Site of Canada, built around 1905 in the village of Skatin (Skookumchuk) BC.
Definitely worth a stop in, part way between Pemberton and Sloquet hot springs BC.
Shot on a Polaroid press camera, Polaroid 669 exp 2005. It got pretty dusty and dirty while drying, but I like it.

Grandstands
I still have a ton of Cuba photos from my trip last year. I like them more than anything I have shot lately, so why not share a few more? I'm still toying with the idea of a little photobook or some prints...
These grandstands are at the corner of Avenida de los Presidentes and the Malecon in Vedado, Cuba.
Between the blue fountains and the abandoned swimming pool, near the Calixto Garcia monument.
One wider view of the old seating area with a few locals playing baseball, and a closer, off-kilter tilted up version. Horizon.

Telegraph Cove BC
I spent 2 nights in telegraph Cove en route to and from Hanson Island. It's a neat little gathering of cabins centred around a wooden boardwalk that was formerly a lumber mill and salmon saltery. I had to grab these photos on an overcast drizzly early morning just before leaving. I plan go back, hopefully for more boatrides. Horizon.

Orcalab, Hanson Island BC
I feel very fortunate to have visited Paul Spong and the Orcalab on Hanson Island earlier this year. It is a land based research station, that studies whales around the Johnstone Straight and the Inside Passage off of northern Vancouver Island. Paul conducted early research on communicating with whales in the 1960's, and moved to Hanson Island in 1970 to continue his studies of whales in the wild. I saw some incredible things from the observation deck that afternoon, and had a chance to walk around the bay a bit at low tide. Spinner.

Spruce Grove, Alberta
I met these guys late last fall in a field near Spruce Grove, AB. I also spent the next day in a hamburger factory.
I didn't take pictures in the hamburger factory, probably for the best. noblex.

Queen of Sidney
Here's some panoramics on and around BC Ferries' now retired Queen of Sidney.
It was one of BC ferries first 2 boats, and was in service for 40 years before retirement in 2000.
I had a surprise stop in for pics with a few friends last summer, and ended up getting onboard and all over it.
Regular xpro and color implosion films. Horizon.

Mt.Baker LBS 2013
The best weekend of my winter, every winter, is the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mt Baker, Washington.
Great vibes, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Friendly competition and no cash prizes.
I still attend every year, although I haven't raced for 3 or 4 years, at least. Hope to see you there.
Last year was a low snow year, so the racecourse was moved way uphill, as seen in picture 2.
Picture 1 is part of the crowd for Saturday's Legendary Baked Salmon feast at the Raven Hut.
Both were shot on reversal film, Horizon.

Zion National Park
I had a chance to see some spectacular views during a quick visit to the park. Hope to visit again someday.
Top: View from the top of Canyon Overlook Trail, looking back down at the road. Middle: Looking up at the East Temple from the switchbacks. Bottom: looking uphill at the shoulder of East Temple from the Overlook Trail. Noblex.

Red Bull Rampage 2014
Here's a few photos from Rampage 2014 near Virgin Utah.
The colour one is Carson Storch on qualifying day before the torrential downpour.
The B&W is Tom Van Steenbergen about 15 seconds before his massive front flip of doom.
Colour is the Noblex, B&W is the Horizon.
If you look REALLY closely in these videos you can totally see me.
full event coverage here : http://rampage.redbull.tv/ Mountain biking is crazy.

Alaska... finally
Been sitting on these awhile, taken in the late spring in the Tordrillo Mountains AK. The first two were the tail end of a roll of Lomochrome purple, and the third is regular C41 colour film. Had some scanner issues so I was hesitant to work/post these, but I guess they aren't so bad. I really like the way the purples turned out for mountain/snow landscapes. Thanks Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, hope to be back someday.

Spences Bridge BC
The old church at Spences Bridge 2 ways. Same same, but different. A little closer on the noblex.
This was actually a camera test of a noblex 135 that I bought on craigslist, and a film test of Lomochrome purple in my Horizon Perfekt. The horizon makes a negative 24x58mm and the Noblex makes 24x66mm on 35mm film.
