Ek' Balam

About 25 kms or a 150 peso cab ride from Valladolid, you will find the ruins of Ek' Balam.
It is one of the most recently excavated Maya sights in the Yucatan, apparently unearthed in 1997 or so.
There are still a lot of structures buried in the jungle, and you can still climb all over these ones. Noblex and Ektar film.

1- The Acropolis from the bottom. Under the palapa roofs are amazing stucco sculptures.
